Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced an update on the construction progress for internal roads and street lighting in Margham, Lehbab, Al Lisaili, and Hatta. The project, covering a combined distance of 38km, involves the construction of 19km of new roads and the installation of lighting poles along 19km of existing streets. The project is currently 72% complete.
In Margham, the internal roads project involves constructing 5km of roads near Skydive Dubai, along Dubai to Al Ain Road. It includes road paving, rainwater drainage systems, and street lights. The project benefits over 11,000 residents. Whereas, in Lehbab, the internal roads project encompasses paving 5km of roads and implementing infrastructure for rainwater drainage and street lights. Additionally, it covers lighting for 2km of existing streets alongside Dubai to Hatta Road near Lehbab Camels' Race Track. This project benefits more than 3,000 residents and enhances the connectivity of the growing residential area with the road network.
In Al Lisaili, the internal road project spans 7km and includes street lighting for existing roads at Saih Assalam, near the Last Exit, and Al Qudra Lakes, totalling 14km. This project benefits around 2,900 residents and enhances the entry and exit points of the area.

Lastly, the Hatta project involves building 2km of roads in Hatta, specifically in Saa’eer, Al Salami and Suhaila. It also includes infrastructure work like rainwater drainage and street lights. This project serves approximately 6,000 residents and improves the entry and exit points, as well as the connectivity of the newly developed residential community with the road network.
Commenting on this, His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Directors, RTA, said, "The internal roads project had been undertaken in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of the Executive Council to address the needs of demographic growth and urban expansion, and foster the well being of residents of the emirate."
