The Green Planet Dubai has officially opened bookings for its annual summer camp, scheduled to run from 6th July until 21st August. Operating from Monday to Thursday between 9.00am and 3.00pm, the indoor programme targets children aged 5 to 12, offering a structured climate-controlled environment to learn about biodiversity as outdoor temperatures peak.
The camp is hosted within City Walk's four-storey tropical bio-dome, which houses more than 3,000 regional and exotic plants and animals. Daily itineraries are designed around specific educational themes to teach younger residents about conservation, biology and the natural world.
The weekly schedule divides activities into four distinct learning modules. Mondays feature the 'Rainforest Rangers' programme, focusing on forest ecosystems alongside practical kitchen workshops like pizza-making. Tuesdays switch to 'Animal Adventures', where attendees engage in zookeeper roleplay, studying animal diets and habitats.
Wednesdays are dedicated to 'Eco-Heroes', introducing sustainability concepts, seed planting and a specialised photography workshop in collaboration with Nikon, where children learn to digitally document wildlife. The week concludes with 'Jungle Scientists' on Thursdays, focusing on weather simulations and hands-on STEM experiments.
Throughout the sessions, participants get close-up access to the venue's prominent residents, including Kendrick the baby lemur and Lemon the sloth. Admission rates are set at Dhs 250 for a single day and Dhs 750 for a full week, inclusive of all food and beverages. An early bird discount reduces the weekly rate to Dhs 600, with identical discounts applied for subsequent weeks or sibling registrations.
