The MICHELIN Guide Dubai 2024 has been released! The latest edition unveiled its award winners at a ceremony hosted at One&Only One Za’abeel Hotel. This year's guide includes five new additions, one restaurant awarded Two MICHELIN Stars, four restaurants receiving One MICHELIN Star each, and an additional six new Bib Gourmand recognitions.
Row On 45 Gets Two MICHELIN Stars
Row on 45 at Grosvenor House, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Dubai Marina, has achieved a remarkable feat by earning Two MICHELIN Stars. Led by renowned British chef Jason Atherton, the restaurant offers a multi-course tasting menu exclusively for 22 guests. The inspectors were impressed by the fusion of French culinary techniques with Japanese ingredients like Hokkaido scallops and saroma wagyu, resulting in dishes that are elegant and sophisticated.
Four New Restaurants Awarded One MICHELIN Star
Dubai's MICHELIN Guide has added four new restaurants to its list of One MICHELIN Star establishments, bringing the total number of One MICHELIN Star restaurants in the city to 15.
- La Dame de Pic Dubai, located at One&Only One Za'abeel, marks the Dubai debut of renowned chef consultant Anne-Sophie Pic. Known for her modern French cuisine with subtle local influences, the restaurant has been awarded a MICHELIN Star.
- Smoked Room at St. Regis Gardens, Nakheel Mall, The Palm Jumeirah, has earned a MICHELIN Star in the 2024 Guide. Chef Dani García, known for his flagship restaurant in Madrid, introduced Dubai diners to this establishment. The kitchen's mastery of fire and grills enhances the creativity of the dishes offered here, with the fire omakase tasting menu being the highlight.
- Sagetsu by Tetsuya, crafted by Chef Tetsuya Wakuda and located in One&Only One Za'abeel, brings together Japanese and French culinary influences in an elegant setting. It has earned one MICHELIN Star in the latest Guide.
- Orfali Bros, situated in Wasl 51 Mall, is managed by three Syrian brothers, offering globally inspired small plates that are both bold and well-balanced. This highly regarded restaurant, which has previously received a Bib Gourmand, has now earned one MICHELIN Star.
All the restaurants that received One MICHELIN Star in the 2023 selection retain their accolades this year, bringing the total to four restaurants with Two MICHELIN Stars, 15 restaurants with One MICHELIN Star, and three restaurants awarded a MICHELIN Green Star.
6 New Restaurants Get A Bib Gourmand
The Bib Gourmand award recognises restaurants that provide great quality and value in their cooking. and with six new additions, Dubai boasts a total of 18 Bib Gourmand restaurants.
- DUO Gastrobar, located in Dubai Hills Business Park is a contemporary restaurant blending Asian and European flavours.
- Revelry, an Indian 'tapas bar' next to Avatara in Dubai Hills Estate, offers a blend of traditional and contemporary dishes.
- Berenjak, situated in Dar Wasl Mall, specialises in serving Persian classics.
- Hoe Lee Kow, situated in Dubai Hills Business Park, is a Korean barbecue restaurant founded by renowned chef Reif Othman.
- REIF Japanese Kushiyaki, located in Dubai Hills, specialises in kushiyaki and innovative interpretations of traditional Japanese dishes.
- Konjiki Hototogisu is a Japanese restaurant situated in the Mall of the Emirates, renowned for its delicious ramen and other popular dishes.
