Yes, you read that right, Chipotle is finally making its way to the UAE, with its first outlet opening in Dubai in October 2024. The first Chipotle in Dubai will be located at The Beach, JBR, and four new restaurants are planned for 2024.
After establishing a strong presence in countries such as the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle has now expanded into the Middle East. The brand opened its inaugural location in Kuwait on 2 May. In collaboration with the leading international franchise retail operator Alshaya Group, Chipotle will launch its restaurants in the UAE. This move signifies a significant step for the company, as Alshaya Group marks its first entry into a new country in over a decade.
John Hadden, Chief Executive Officer of Alshaya Group, said, "Consumers have long awaited Chipotle’s arrival here in the Middle East and the feedback we’ve received so far has confirmed that we’re delivering the same delicious culinary experience that guests have had in their US locations. We’re proud to have introduced this popular American restaurant to Kuwait, and we’re looking forward to Dubai later this year as the first location in our exclusive partnership with Chipotle."
At Chipotle, you can order your favourite burritos, bowls, tacos, and salads by moving along the front counter and selecting ingredients one by one. You can choose from various toppings like chicken, steak, braised beef and vegetarian options such as plant-based protein, guacamole, and more.
