Things To Do For The Weekend 21 - 23 October


The three-day-long weekend is here and with it comes all the fun and festivities that Dubai has to offer. From early Halloween at Legoland, to the amazing activities around the Ain Dubai opening, and laughing at some stand-up comedy, here are some things you can do to keep you busy this weekend.

October Laughter Factory Tour

The October 'I think my algorithms hate me' tour by The Laughter Factory this weekend is definitely an event to check out. With comedians Jean Paul, John Hastings and Luca Cupani performing, their comedy sets are bound to leave you laughing for days. On 20 October the Tour will visit Zabeel House by Jumeirah in The Greens, followed by Grand Millennium Barsha Heights on the 21 October with the final show of the tour held at Studio One Hotel in Studio City on 22 October.


Ain Dubai Opening

Where Ain Dubai

The biggest and tallest wheel in the world is set to open to the public, with a fun celebration. On 21 October, enjoy food trucks, live entertainment, activities and a stunning firework, drone and light show as the Ain Dubai officially opens. On 22 October, enjoy entertainment and activities throughout the day followed by six of the best regional players performing as well as a fantastic light show to end the celebrations. The event is free and open to all.


Halloween Spooktacular

Where Legoland Dubai

Get ready for a spooky adventure at Legoland Dubai. Enjoy a variety of activities including cobweb dance classes, making pumpkins out of Lego and trick or treating. Also enjoy some Halloween treats with monster burgers, black ice cream, Granny's apple fries and more.


Giant Hotdog Challenge

When 23 October

Where Sauce Dubai

Challenge yourself this weekend by eating a giant hotdog at Sauce Dubai, within 30 minutes. The hotdog is made out of your choice of meat (beef or chicken), caramelised tomatos, pickled cucumber, beef bacon, fried onions, jalapenos, mustard, chilli con carne with chipotle, served in a potato bun with a side of fries. If the hotdog is finished by one person in 30 minutes, the meal is free, if not, they pay Dhs 219. The hotdog is served with drinks on the side, which is not mandatory to finish.

Where The Theatre at The Mall of the Emirates

Maxime Gasteuil, a popular French comedian will perform this weekend at The Theatre at The Mall of the Emirates. His comedy show will go into his decision to leave his hometown to live in Paris and will delve into small apartments, his hometown, happy hour and much more. The show is sure to be a hit and is a must-watch if you really enjoy French comedy.


Diwali Bazaar

Where Jumeirah Lake Towers

If you are looking for some festive spots to get some last-minute Diwali shopping done, then look no further and head down to the Diwali Bazaar at Jumeirah Lake Towers. Over 50 brands will be selling items ranging from clothes, jewellery, gift hampers, decor and more. Delight in delicious Indian food at Khau Gali, when taking a break from all the shopping.

Where McGettigan's JLT

Gavin James, an Irish award-winning singer-songwriter is set to perform this weekend at McGettigan's. Performing for two days, the singer-songwriter has performed on tour with artists, Ed Sheeran, Kodaline and Sam Smith. His LP, 'Boxes', topped the Irish charts in 2020 and guests can enjoy songs including Nervous, The Book of Love, I Don't Know Why and more.


Tie Break Tens

This weekend, the first-ever international tennis event in Dubai is taking place at the Coca Cola Arena. The event is a quick version of the game, where every point counts for a ten-point breaker. Eight players will play with the winner receiving a prize of Dhs 500,000.
