The View at The Palm, along with Dubai Astronomy Group, is offering visitors the opportunity to view Saturn and Jupiter when they are at their largest and brightest.
The 360-degree observation deck will offer a view of the yearly Opposition, where the planets can be seen clearly including Jupiter's stripes and the rings around Saturn.
The Opposition takes place when the earth is between the sun and the opposite planet. Planets in the solar system including Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune can be in opposition.
Saturn at Opposition will take place on 2 August from 8pm to 10pm with Jupiter in Opposition on 20 August from 8pm to 10pm.
The event will begin with an explanation of the Opposition hosted by Hasan Ahmad Al Hariri, CEO of the Dubai Astronomy Group and will then lead into a Question and Answer session.
Astronomy sessions are also available on 6, 7, 13, 14, 21, 27 and 28 August from 8.30pm to 10pm.
Tickets are priced at Dhs 125 for adults, Dhs 95 for children aged 4 to 12 and free for children below 4.
Registration is available on The View website.
