Dubai’s oldest library located at the Dubai Community Theatre and Art Centre (Ductac) has found a new home after an agreement was signed with Emaar for new premises.
Ductac closed its doors last week in Mall of the Emirates after failing to find alternative premises, it was feared that the Old Library will be left without a home.
Luckily, the Old Library’s fate was resolved and an agreement was reached with Emaar to base the library in the Gold and Diamond Park.
It is expected that the reopening will be in October this year and it will surely make its 2,000 members and 40-45 volunteer teams happy who, up until recently, were unsure if the library would remain open.
