Things To Do This Week 24 To 27 November

After an action packed weekend of fun and activities, you could be forgiven for wanting to take it easy this week. But don't! You will only miss out on a whole load of great things happening in Dubai over the next few days, and there is something for everyone. The children have a space event to take a look at and take part in, rock 'n' roll fans can go back in time to the 50's and 60's and for those looking at something different, traditional camel racing is on. Art Exhibition: Unfamiliar Faces

Visit the Kulture House this week to see ‘Unfamiliar Faces’, an exhibition by Egyptian artist Dina Hafez. Based around a traditional Egyptian craft, Hafez uses graphic design with beadwork to update a collection of vintage photographs. Entry is free.

Future Space Pioneers Festival

Children’s City at Dubai Creek Park is hosting an interactive festival named the Future Space Pioneers Festival, aiming to educate children aged two and above about space in a fun way. The week-long festival is sure to be a hit with budding young scientists. Entry is priced at Dhs 10.

Papicha 

The movie narrates the story of a very ambitious student Nedjma who's driven by her passion for fashion and uses it to rebel against the Algerian regime in the 1990s. Tired of the way of life in her home country and full of hope for a better future, she organises a fashion show to take back control. Tickets start at Dhs 52.50.

Where: Al Marmoom Smart Camel Racing Track
Camel Racing 

Experience a major part of UAE culture as you watch camels racing this week from 26 to 27 November. A group of 60 camels will be racing to the finish line over distances between 4km and 6 km. After the race is over, continue the heritage experience by visiting neighbouring Al Marmoom Heritage Village for a truly authentic Emirati experience. Entry to the race is free.

Be Bop A Lula Live

The West End’s super hit rock ‘n’ roll show Be Bop A Lula is coming to Dubai this week at Theatre by QE2. Sing along to the music of some of the greatest rock legends including Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Billy Fury and Roy Orbison as their hits come alive at the theatre aboard the world famous Queen Elizabeth 2. Tickets start at Dhs 180.
