Abu Dhabi To Host Region’s Largest Multi-Sport Event

Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026

Abu Dhabi is gearing up to host the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026, the region’s largest and most diverse international multi-sport event. Scheduled from 6 to 15 February 2026, the event will bring together more than 25,000 athletes from over 100 nationalities. This will be the first edition of the Masters Games to be held in the Middle East

Organised by the Supreme Organising Committee of the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026, the multi-sport event will feature more than 30 sports, from football, basketball, athletics and swimming to judo, squash, golf, cycling and sailing, among others. In a unique highlight, six Emirati heritage sports will also be included: falconry, endurance horse racing, camel racing, dhow sailing, Al Taba and diving. Eighteen sports categories have also been opened for People of Determination, reinforcing the event’s inclusive spirit.

Competitions will be staged at over 20 venues across Abu Dhabi, including Zayed Sports City, Hudayriyat Island, ADNEC, Corniche, Al Ain Adventure, Emirates Palace and others. Volunteer registration, launched earlier in partnership with Emirates Foundation, is ongoing and open to students, professionals, and sports enthusiasts eager to contribute.

Participation is open to anyone aged 30 and above, regardless of skill level or experience. Registration is available through their official website
