Power Slap, the world’s premier slap fighting promotion founded by Dana White, Lorenzo Fertitta, and Craig Piligian in collaboration with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), is set to make its international debut in Abu Dhabi. The ninth live event and first-ever international event, Power Slap 9: Da Crazy Hawaiian vs. Vasilii 'Dumpling' Kamotskii, will take place on Thursday, 24 October, at Space 42 Arena on Al Raha Beach Road in Abu Dhabi. This event is part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, which is headlined by UFC 308: Topuria vs Holloway.
"Power Slap 9 will be our first international event. Every time I bring an event to Abu Dhabi I bring the biggest and best fights possible. It’s going to be an amazing week for fight fans, Power Slap 9 on Thursday and UFC 308 on Saturday. I also have a ton of cool experiences planned for the fans", said Power Slap founder Dana White.
Headlining Power Slap 9 will be a showdown of slap fighting legends, as reigning Power Slap Super Heavyweight Champion Da Crazy Hawaiian returns to defend his title against the No. 1 ranked Super Heavyweight, Vasilii 'Dumpling' Kamotskii. Da Crazy Hawaiian recently defended his title for the second time against top-ranked Danie Van Heerden in the main event of Power Slap 8, held at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Dumpling, who inspired Power Slap founder Dana White to enter the sport, aims to recreate his highlight-reel first-round knockout from his debut at the same event.
Power Slap 9 will be available live and free across the globe on Rumble. The remainder of the Power Slap 9 card will be announced in the coming weeks along with ticket information for this inaugural event. Stay tuned!
