Sharjah residents, get ready for a beach party like no other! The emirate is about to host its very first Sharjah Beach Festival. The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced that the inaugural edition of the festival will turn Al Heera Beach, the longest beach in the city, into a lively centre of activity from 15 August to 15 September. The event will run daily from 4pm to 10pm.
This month-long event promises an exceptional experience for individuals and families, featuring a wide range of beach, sports, and entertainment activities. The festival is organised into several distinct zones:
1. Water and Beach Sports Zone: This area offers a chance to engage in various water sports, including paddle boarding, beach volleyball, and soccer, as well as obstacle courses.
2. Health and Wellness Zone: Here, visitors can join yoga, aerobics, and Zumba sessions or unwind with sunset meditation classes. Additionally, expert-led fitness workshops focusing on holistic health and well-being will be available.
3. Entertainment Zone: Enjoy daily musical performances, outdoor beach cinema, reading sessions, puppet shows, and a variety of interactive games and workshops for children, teenagers, and adults.
4. Cultural and Commercial Experience: Explore a traditional crafts and artisan market, and savour diverse international and local cuisines at various restaurants and cafes.
The festival embodies Shurooq's dedication to providing unique and interactive experiences for residents and visitors throughout the year, especially during the summer, while celebrating Sharjah’s beautiful beachfront locations.
