The 15th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF), renowned as the region's only celebration of knowledge, creativity, art and innovation, is set to return on 1 May. This eagerly awaited event will be held at Expo Centre Sharjah until 12 May. Promising 12 days of excitement, the festival will be filled with activities for young readers, artists, creatives, and families alike.
SCRF 2024 will feature millions of books, including the latest releases in children’s and young adult literature worldwide. Beyond literature, the event will serve as the region’s premier platform for cultural and artistic enrichment, showcasing theatrical performances, culinary demonstrations, and workshops covering social media, music, and various other topics of interest. Attendees can also look forward to engaging in competitions, activities, animation events, and more.
The literary programme of SCRF 2024 will include dialogues among Arab and international authors, publishers, sports and media figures with book signing sessions, storytelling sessions, reading activities tailored for children, and additional literary workshops.
SCRF will also continue to offer its world-class networking platform, providing an opportunity for publishers, booksellers, literary agents, authors, illustrators, artists, librarians, cultural and literary organisations, as well as governments worldwide, to engage, seek collaborations, and enhance the local and regional publishing and creative industries.
The event will start from 9am onwards. Details about the ticket pricing and more will be revealed soon.
