Sharjah welcomes a new attraction, the Hanging Gardens! His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, officially opened the gardens on situated along the Sharjah-Kalba Road. This magnificent space boasts over 100,000 trees across 1.6 million square feet, reaching a height of 281 metres above sea level. The garden features beautiful green areas, terraces adorned with flowers, and captivating waterfalls.
The Hanging Gardens offer a range of amenities for visitors, including 262 parking spaces, disabled parking facilities, and electric vehicle charging stations. Additionally, there are restrooms, prayer rooms for both genders, and a cafeteria serving light meals.
For children, there are designated recreational areas divided into three sections based on age groups. An excursion train, accommodating 55 people and spanning 820 metres with four stations, provides a scenic tour. Stations, including one at the upper cafeteria and three within the garden, offer waiting areas for visitors to explore different garden features.
Moreover, the park includes a 760 metre running track surrounding its landmarks from the interior. At the upper area, a restaurant building constructed with traditional wooden architecture offers panoramic views, seating 100 guests at 270 metres above sea level. It allows guests to enjoy stunning vistas of the Hanging Gardens from multiple angles.
The garden offers a great chance for relaxation and fun, serving as a hub for entertainment, sports, and enjoying nature's beauty. It contributes to increasing tourism and economic activity, enhancing the value of other projects within the city.
