The second edition of Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Abu Dhabi was celebrated with stars, slimes and fun at Yas Island's Etihad Arena on 17 September. The show was hosted by award-winning British star Jessie J and co-hosted by social media star and content creator Ossy Marwah. The slime-filled celebration awarded the Nickelodeon blimp to winners across 16 categories. Kids chose their international and regional favourites in the film, television and music space with a record number of 46 million votes.
Jessi J gave an unforgettable performance of her chart-topping song 'Price Tag', and Jordanian singer-songwriter Siilawy performed his popular song 'Lama Tkooni'. Palestinian singer-songwriter Noel Kharman gave a moving performance of her hit 'Al Forga.'
Top Saudi artist Bader Al-Shuaibi entertained the crowd with a medley of his hits 'Mtaaba Kol El Nas,' 'Ana Weyah' and 'Bravo Alek.' Meanwhile, the world’s first global music team 'Now United,' performed 'All Night Long' and 'One Love Medley' and featured Ivorian Mélanie Thomas, Lebanese Nour Ardakani, Australian Savannah Clarke, British Lamar Morris and American Zane Carter.
For winners, Moroccan singer-songwriter Manal won in the Favourite Artist Category, Palestinian singer & songwriter Noel Kharman won the Favourite Female Newcomer award, and Jordanian singer-songwriter Siilawy won the Favourite Male Newcomer.
Saudi Reporters won the Favourite Team award, pop artist Olivia Rodrigo won the Favourite International Artist, and Mr. Beast won the Favourite International Content Creator award. Popular Syrian artist Big Sam won the Favourite Rapper award, and TikTok Star, comedian, and Youtuber Islam Afro won the Favourite Comedy Creator Award.
SpongeBob won the favourite Nickelodeon character, and Gary the Snail won the favourite pet award. To know more about the show and enjoy all the fun, make sure to watch it on your TV screens.
