Sharjah Police Carries Out Dhs 23.5 Million Drug Bust

The Anti-Narcotics Department of Sharjah Police, along with police departments from other Emirates, have carried out a drug bust of Dhs 23.5 million, arresting a gang of 24 members of Arab and Asian nationalities.

Over 120 kilograms of hashish and 3 million Captagon tablets were found, making it one of the biggest drug busts in Sharjah.

With the help of an accomplice, information was received that the group planned to distribute the drugs outside the country.

The suspects were then monitored and assessed.

At midnight, the gang members were all arrested, and along with the Dubai Police, the drugs were found in a hidden container.

Along with the Ajman Police General Headquarters, at the same time, 120 kilograms of hashish was also confiscated.

Hashish is a type of drug derived from the cannabis plant and can be smoked, leading to disturbed learning and memory.

Captagon are highly addictive drugs, taken in the form of tablets and cause the user to experience a heightened state of mind and affects the nervous system.
