Etihad Rail, the national railway in the UAE, has constructed the Etihad Rail Bridge, located at Al Maha Forest in Abu Dhabi, which contributes to protecting the wildlife and natural habitat in the area.
As the location is known for being home to various species, from migratory birds to animals, wildlife corridors have been constructed along the network, which are underpasses and overpasses that allow animals to pass by with ease.
Once opened while aboard the rail, the public will be able to enjoy views of the rich natural terrain.
One of the biggest projects undertaken in the UAE, Etihad Rail, will connect all seven Emirates in the UAE as well as Oman, cutting travel time and making it easier to commute between the Emirates.
The railway also has tracks running through the Hajar Mountains, located in the Arabian Peninsula, which extends from Northern Oman to the eastern side of the UAE, featuring state-of-the-art tunnels.
