The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), along with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the Farah Association, which supports children with cancer, held an Iftar for cancer patients and their families at the Latakia Governorate in Syria.
During the Iftar, food parcels were handed out along with school bags and gifts for the children.
The cancer patients shared their struggles with the organisation, allowing them to get a better understanding of the people's needs and the challenges being faced.
Additionally, health support, medical supplies and medicines are being provided by the ERC, to people in need in the country.
The Iftar is part of Operation Gallant Knight 2, which aims to provide relief to individuals in Syria that have been affected by the earthquakes that took place on 6 February.
