The '1 Billion Meals Endownment' campaign has reached Dhs 404 million within the first 10 days since its launch.
Launched and running during the Holy Month of Ramadan, the campaign aims to provide meals to individuals and families around the world that are less fortunate.
Over the course of 10 days, around 70,000 people and businesses have donated to the cause launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
People looking to donate towards the campaign can do so via five methods, the website, bank transfer, SMS, DubaiNow App and the call centre.
His Excellency Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, said, "Every year, the UAE showcases its commitment to its humanitarian role, to supporting underprivileged populations around the world, and to the global effort to fight and eradicate hunger. To this end, the ‘1 Billion Meals Endowment’ campaign is an extension of the success UAE charity efforts achieved over the past years."
The '1 Billion Meals Endowment' campaign follows after the success of the '1 Billion Meals' campaign held in 2022, which provided meals to over 50 countries around the world.
