Sheikh Mansour Appointed As Vice President Of The UAE

His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Minister of the Presidential Court, has been appointed as the Vice President of the UAE.

The appointment of His Highness Sheikh Mansour as the Vice President of the UAE was made following a resolution issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. 

His Highness Sheikh Mansour was born on 21 November 1970 and is the fifth son of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first President of the UAE.

In 1997, His Highness Sheikh Mansour was appointed as the Chairman of the Presidential Office by Sheikh Zayed.

Following Sheikh Zayed's death, His Highness Sheikh Mansour was appointed as the Minister of Presidential Affairs, after a merger took place between the Presidential Office and the Presidential Court.

In 2009, His Highness Sheikh Mansour was appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister.

President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed, has also issued two decrees appointing His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, as the two Deputy Rulers of Abu Dhabi.
