Always wanted to catch a glimpse of the planets as they align? Today is that day!
In an amazing phenomenon, five planets will align and people will be able to see it take place with the naked eye, from 8pm on Tuesday, 28 March.
The five planets, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus can be seen forming an arc.
As each planet revolves around the sun on its own axis at different intervals, the rare occurrence, known as a planetary conjunction, happens when two planets appear close to one another in the sky and can be viewed from Earth.
The alignment can be seen from the west, where the Sun sets, and Venus will be the easiest to spot as it shines the brightest.
Jupiter and Mars can also be spotted through their bright glow, with Mars having a red hue.
Mercury and Uranus will be more difficult to spot as their glow is usually dimmer in comparison to the other planets.
The last alignment was noticed in June 2022, when Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn aligned.
