The Dubai Police General Command has announced that 1,195 vehicles were seized for modifying engines without obtaining a license during 2022.
Also during last year 4,533 fines were also issued for modifications to cars.
Over 1,079 vehicles were impounded, with 2,361 receiving violations for changing the engine.
Drivers with vehicles that were causing noise saw 116 vehicles impounded and 2,172 vehicles fined.
As the vehicles cause disturbance in neighbourhoods as well as on the roads, drivers are advised not to make modifications without the right approval.
So far, since the beginning of 2023, Dubai Police has seized 250 vehicles and fined 327 vehicles for modifications made.
