Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that over 1 million e-scooter trips were made in 2022.
The number of trips made doubled in comparison to the 500,000 trips made in 2021, with none of the riders sustaining any serious injuries.
In 2022, over 557,000 riders used e-scooters, with the satisfaction level hitting 76%.
With dedicated lanes now created for riders, the number of permits applied for in Dubai has reached around 50,000.
