Amazon UAE is set to bring small and medium local businesses to the online platform.
By 2026, users will be able to shop for products from around 100,000 businesses.
The initiative is part of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to transform Dubai into one of the top ten digital economies in the world.
The move will also help grow the technology sector in Dubai as well as make the shopping experience easier for the user.
Amazon currently offers products from 50,000 local and international companies in the UAE.
Once a business is registered on Amazon UAE, the company will automatically be registered in Amazon stores around the world, reaching 300 million users in 19 markets around the world, including the US, UK, India, Japan and Singapore.
