An aid ship from the UAE carrying 37,500 food parcels was sent to Syria.
The move is a part of the humanitarian efforts by the UAE to provide aid to the people of Syria that were affected by earthquakes.
On Sunday, 12 March, the food relief arrived at the Port of Latakia, Syria.
The shipment was one of the biggest aid shipments received at the Port of Latakia, with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent distributing the food supply to individuals affected by the earthquakes.
Additional relief will continue to be transported via air and sea, with another shipment due to arrive within the next few days.
On 6 February, two earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.8 and 7.6 on the Ritcher scale hit Turkey and Syria, leading to a death toll of over 50,000.
