The working hours for both the public and private sectors during the Holy Month of Ramadan have been announced.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced the working hours for government departments in the UAE.
During the Holy Month of Ramadan, the timings from Monday to Thursday will be from 9am to 2.30pm and from 9am to noon on Friday.
Individuals will be able to opt for flexible working hours, as long as it is within the required working hours for the day.
Additionally, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced that all employees in the private sector will have working timings reduced by two hours daily.
Flexible working hours and working remotely are also applicable during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Holy Month of Ramadan is a month of prayer and fasting, which lasts for 29 to 30 days and is based on the sighting of the moon, with 23 March the expected date for Ramadan to begin.
