In a first-of-its-kind move in Dubai, the award-winning marketing and PR agency, TishTash Communications, has introduced paid days off for fertility-based treatments, menopause and menstrual-related leave.
The communications agency has a 100% female team of 48 members, who now as part of the initiative, can take up to six days in a year of paid leave for menopause and menstrual days.
The days off are not included as part of their personal leave or sick days.
Employees can also opt for work-from-home to ensure their comfort, with medical certificates not required to take days off to manage symptoms.
Team members can also take flexible and unrestricted paid leave, if they are undergoing fertility treatment, or would like to get their eggs frozen, or need to attend medical appointments, in the UAE or outside the country.
Pregnant team members, whose pregnancy ends before 24 weeks will also get 10 days off work.
