The Abrahamic Family House has been inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
The new family house is located on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi and is home to a mosque, church, synagogue and an educational centre.
The location is dedicated to creating mutual understanding and peace amongst people.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed said, "The UAE has a proud history of people from diverse communities working together to create new possibilities. As the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi is inaugurated, we remain committed to harnessing the power of mutual respect, understanding and diversity to achieve shared progress."
The Abrahamic Family House will share the values of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and came about after the signing of the Document on Human Fraternity by Pope Francis and Grand Imam Ahmed Al Tayeb in February 2019.
The educational centre is not dedicated to a specific religion and will provide a hub for all religions to come together.
