Logo For The UAE Mission Revealed

The logo for the first long-duration Arab astronaut mission has been revealed.

In the logo, Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi is looking up at Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE, with the Earth and the International Space Station in the background.

Set to launch on 26 February, the UAE is the 11th country to send astronauts on a long-duration mission as well as train them to walk in space.

The mission will launch aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Sultan Al Neyadi has been assigned as the Mission Specialist of the Prime Crew.
