The overstay fees for tourists on a visit visa have been reduced.
Updated by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, the fee was previously set at Dhs 100 but has now been reduced to Dhs 50 per day.
Additionally, residents with an expired visa will now be charged Dhs 50 per day, which has increased from Dhs 25.
The changes to the overstay fees are in line with the visa reforms that came into effect last month.
