The General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions has supported inmates, by providing financial aid of over Dhs 6 million.
Throughout the year, the police provided the families of inmates with a monthly allowance, paid tuition and rent costs, covered medical costs for inmates and their families, settled blood money and debts of inmates, provided tickets for travel and covered expenses for Ramadan and Eid.
Additionally, 7,190 services for inmates and the public were provided, including providing certificates and permits for families to visit inmates, and following up on the cases of citizens.
