Dubai Customs inspectors found 12.5kg of marijuana being smuggled at Dubai International Airport.
The marijuana was carried by a passenger from an African country.
The marijuana was hidden in the linings of the bags and found through the x-ray machines.
In both bags, two plastics were found with 2.9kg and 2.7kg of marijuana in the first bag and 3.4kg and 3.5kg in the second bag.
Ibrahim Kamali, Director of Passenger Operations Department said, "These seizures reflect the integration and full coordination between the various customs units at the Dubai International Airport and the quick response to thwart any smuggling attempts and prevent the entry of narcotics as part of Dubai Customs vision to lead safe customs worldwide."
