The Department of Health in Abu Dhabi has warned the public against the use of four cough syrups by Maiden Pharmaceuticals Limited.
According to the World Health Organisation, the four cough syrups have contaminated ingredients and could be linked to the deaths of children in Gambia.
The products are not available across the healthcare sector in Abu Dhabi.
Individuals that have taken the medication and have side effects, are advised to seek medical help.
