Al Quoz Creative Zone is set to be transformed into one of the largest creative zones in the world.
The four-year master plan is set to develop the community infrastructure, public services and spaces, and artistic ambience.
Housing will also be provided for creatives, artists and entrepreneurs and on completion of the project, creative spaces will expand eight-fold with recreational and support spaces will triple in size.
Unique public artworks will be placed across the Zone to create an aesthetically distinctive identity for the community.
The project will support creatives and entrepreneurs through all stages of the creative industry from design and implementation to distribution and marketing.
Phase One of the project will see the development of infrastructure, including creating flexible mobility, transportation integration, and infrastructure networks.
Development of public spaces and site coordination will be done in Phase Two, with Phase Three seeing the placement of public art installations across the Zone.
