Authorities in Qatar have announced that entry into Qatar will not be permitted for visitors for the duration of the FIFA World Cup.
Individuals with a Hayya card, an ID card for attendees with tickets to watch the World Cup, will be permitted to enter the country and can stay till 23 January 2023.
The suspension of visitor entry via air, land and marine borders will take effect on 1 November until 23 December.
Exempted categories from the suspension on entering include Qatari citizens and residents, GCC citizens holding a Qatari ID card, holders of personal visas and work entry permits as well as approved humanitarian cases.
