Over Dhs 1.2 million in cash was found in taxis during the first half of the year.
As announced by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), more than 44,062 items were lost in taxis, out of which, 12,410 mobile phones, 2,819 electronic devices, 766 passports and 342 laptops were found.
From January to June 2022, 951,492 calls were made through the call centre and the RTA Dubai app, out of which 5,724 calls were emergency reports.
There has been a 7% drop in complaints over the past two years, with complaints and suggested improvements mainly focused on transportation services.
51% of complaints were for related to buses and taxis, 8% were requests for exemption from parking violations, 24% of requests were for infrastructure and 4% of the services were for the use of the NOL card.
