In celebration of Hijri New Year, free parking will be available in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.
The Integrated Transport Center (ITC) in Abu Dhabi has announced that free parking will be available on 30 and 31 July, with parking meters reactivated on 1 August.
Additionally, the DARB toll gate will also be free over the weekend, reactivating on 1 August.
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that all public parking spaces, except for multi storey building parking, will be fre on 30 July.
Announced by Sharjah Municipality, public parking will be free on 30 July, apart from the blue zones.
