Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that the internal roads in residential areas are almost near completion.
The construction work is taking place at Al Quoz 2, Nad Al Sheba 2 and Al Barsha South 3.
In Al Quoz 2 between Al Khail Road and Meydan Road, over 70% of the road, street lighting and rainwater drainage works have been completed.
Over 65% of the completion rate of internal roads at Al Barsha South 3 has now been completed. Streetlights, car parks and bus stops are also being added.
Internal roads, parallel parking spaces, streetlights, rainwater drainage system and sewage network have reached 60% completion in Nad Al Sheba.
His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA said, “The construction of internal roads at residential areas is a manifestation of the execution of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council, to improve the infrastructure of the residential neighbourhood. Such a drive is prompted by the need to cope with the needs of demographic and urban expansion, and improve the wellbeing and happiness of people in the emirate.”
