His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, passed away on Friday, 13 May.
The news was announced by news agency WAM.
His Highness Sheikh Khalifa was the second President of the UAE and the sixteenth ruler of Abu Dhabi.
A 40 day mourning period has been announced.
