In a circular from the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), face masks are no longer mandatory when outdoors in schools.
Physical distancing while outdoors is also optional.
Field trips and sporting activities will resume and buses will operate at full capacity.
Quarantine requirements for students have been removed.
Students aged 18 and above who have come in close contact with a positive case need to test every day for five days, and children below 18 will have to test on day one and day four.
Additionally, school events and activities can operate at 90% capacity.
