National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced updated protocols for land border entry for residents as well as tourists.
The change has already been taken into effect.
Individuals that are fully vaccinated do not need to get a PCR test done and can enter by showing their vaccination certificate with a valid QR code.
Unvaccinated individuals aged 12 and above need to show a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours or a recovery certificate for COVID-19 dated within a month along with a valid QR code.
On-site PCR testing will also be made available.
The entry protocols will also be implemented at land ports.
Individuals, however, are advised to get a PCR test done within 24 hours of arrival, if planning on staying for more than 72 hours.
