The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced updated safety protocols for private schools, universities and early learning centres.
Face masks while outdoors is no longer mandatory.
Students will have to continue using face masks while in closed indoor spaces.
Staff and students that have been in contact with positive cases do not need to isolate if they do not show symptoms.
If a person is positive, isolation for 10 days is still mandatory.
Close contacts can go back to school once they are symptom-free.
Contact tracing will be done by health and safety officers and protocols by the Dubai Government authorities will continue to be followed.
Physical distancing and regular sanitising will also be observed.
