A team from the Environment Agency in the Abu Dhabi has announced that two rare whales were spotted off the coast of Abu Dhabi.
The whales are also known as Orcinus Orca and are an indication that the health and quality of the water in Abu Dhabi is good with marine biodiversity thriving.
The whales can be identified by their bodies distinctive black and white pattern, and it is estimated that there are around 50,000 in existence around the world, of which 50% are said to be in the Antarctic. Orcinus Orca have an average life span of around 50 years but can live up to 90 years.
