The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced that private schools in Dubai can opt for either extended hours to take place early in the morning or later in the afternoon, during the school week.
The schools will have to consult with parents to decide the change in timings.
The new change is in line with the change in the school week to 4.5 days and will come into effect from 3 January 2022.
The extension in the school day will allow teachers to the hours required to complete the curricula.
Classes on Fridays will also not go past 12 noon.
