The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) has announced the first edition of the Sharjah Events Festival, to be held on 10 and 11 December.
The festival will be held at Al Majaz Amphitheatre and will be free to attend for all.
The event will feature entertainment, folk shows, music, sports, art and craft and competitions as well as will also host poetry evenings, an array of workshops, shows and a raffle draw.
25 public and private companies based in Sharjah will participate and on the first day of the festival, the lineup for the 2022 events and celebrations set to take place in Sharjah will be announced.
The event will run from 4pm to 11pm on Friday and from 2pm till 10pm on Saturday.

His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of SGMB said, "Through this first-of-it’s kind festival, we will unveil Sharjah’s cultural agenda for 2022, and at the same time, offer attendees a variety of family-friendly activities suitable for all segments of the community. The festival also aims to provide networking and collaboration opportunities for participating entities along with a vibrant platform to showcase their work and activities to the community. Moreover, they will be able to connect and strengthen their relationships with the public in a fun-filled environment.”
