A new driverless taxi was unveiled on Tuesday on the first day of the Abu Dhabi Smart City Summit.
The brand is called Txai, making the company the first driverless taxi program in the UAE.
Created in partnership with Bayanat, which is part of the G42 Group and Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), the self-driving taxis are now in their trials period and are available for use at Yas Island.
Free transport service will be provided to the public during the trial period and will go to nine destinations including Etihad Arena, Yas Marina, W Hotel, Ferrari World, Yas Mall, Ikea, Warner Bros World, Yas Waterworld and Yas Beach.
