The Sheikh Zayed Festival is set to begin on 18 November 2021 and will run till 1 April 2022.
The festival is held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The Sheikh Zayed Festival will focus on preserving the nation’s heritage and will also highlight Abu Dhabi as a leading tourism and cultural destination.
The events for the festival will include National Day celebrations, the International Civilisations March, New Year’s Eve celebrations and the Al Wathba Costume Show.
The logo for the event will now feature a hawk and the Al Maqta Bridge, highlighting the past and also looking towards the future.
