The Organising Committee of Gov Games has announced that the third edition of Gov Games is set to take place this year.
The team building challenge will take place from 9 to 11 December.
The initiative is under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.
The challenge aims to promote teamwork and team spirit among government employees.
Citizens and residents of the UAE can now participate in the challenge along with government employees in the edition of Gov Games taking place this year.
Registration for the challenge is open no until 30 October.
Members of the community need to participate in a pre-qualifying round before participating in the competition.
Over 168 teams participated in the second edition of the Gov Games with 106 male teams, 62 were female teams and 540 volunteers.
Marwan Bin Essa, Director of Gov Games said, “We are excited to host the third edition of the Gov Games competition, which now includes a new category for the community as part of our efforts to expand the impact of the event and raise levels of team bonding and performance among society members. The new category was introduced in response to an overwhelming demand from members of the community, who attended previous cycles of Gov Games, to participate in a similar tournament for non-government employees. This year’s challenges are going to take place in the Dubai Design District (D3), one of the most vibrant districts in the emirate.”
