Majid Al Futtaim has launch of the region's first checkout-free store, Carrefour City+.
The store has been opened and can be found near the entrance of the Mall of the Emirates metro station, giving shoppers the opportunity to get the things they require and walk out.
By using AI technology, individuals will be able to shop faster as well as without coming in contact with other people and having to wait for their turn to buy groceries.
By using the current MAF Carrefour App, shoppers can access the store and pay for the items required through their phones.
Once an item is picked, it will automatically be added to their cart and once done shopping, payment will go through when leaving the store.
Over 1,300 items including snacks, beverages, packaged food, food-to-go meals as well as basic essentials are available at Carrefour City+.
