Vaccinated Individuals Do Not Need To Quarantine In Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Media Office

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has announced the updated travel procedures for vaccinated tourists arriving in Abu Dhabi.

Tourists coming into Abu Dhabi that have been fully vaccinated do not need to quarantine after arrival in Abu Dhabi.

The new change will come into effect on 5 September.

Tourists must get their vaccination certificates verified via the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) website or the app.

A negative PCR test received within 48 hours from departure is also required.

If travelling from green list countries, individuals need to get a PCR test done on arrival and on day 8, if staying in Abu Dhabi.

When travelling from other destinations and residing in Abu Dhabi, a PCR test needs to be taken on arrival, on day 4 and on day 8.

The protocol applies to individuals with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization and aged 16 and above.

Individuals will also be able to enter public places permitted to vaccinated individuals by either registering on the Al Hosn App to show their vaccination status and test results or through the official app of their country of residence to show proof of vaccination and test results.
