Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that the Jumeirah Golf Estates metro station is set to open to the public on 1 September.
The station will serve as the biggest underground station on the Dubai Metro network for both the red and the green lines.
The metro station will be able to transport 11,555 passengers per hour during peak hours and about 250,000 passengers per day.
The station has two platforms for boarding the train, 4 bus stops, 20 taxi stands to pick up and drop off, 20 parking spots for people of determination and 400 free parking spots around the station, available to the public.
The Jebel Ali transfer metro station is also linked connecting Route 2020 and the red metro line.
